Architecture & environment

Architecture and Environment is a module led by Mr. Azim Sulaiman together with other 5 lecturer including Ar. Hoi Jung Wai which was my tutor in this module.

assignment i

On assignment I, our purpose was to create a solution to daylight and thermal comfort problem in real house using passive design and maximize them. Measuring all the lux, temperature, humidity, and area were the data we needed to compile.

assignment ii

Assignment II is about artificial lighting design layout. We were given the freedom to choose a space of 60 meter square from the given list, from anywhere around the world as long it is based on the category given. In this assignment we chose a boutique which is located in China.

reflection

Architecture and Environment for me was a really important module. It teaches me about the importance of daylighting. passive design, thermal comfort, sound and of course how to design based on those aspects. I also am grateful to get Mr. Hoi Jung Wai or Mr. Axxu as my tutor as he always give us extra explanation and knowledge during our tutorial.

In assignment I, it was not that good because we were not able to manage the time well, as a result we submitted late. But we were able to learn from our mistake and be better during the second assignment.

In assignment II, everything worked smoothly, we were able to submit early and give better quality than the first assignment.
