Building construction & materials
Project i
Project I is about famous architect's building. The building I chose was St. Mary Cathedral, Tokyo by Kenzo Tange. The objective of this project is to be able to differentiate between architectural and structural materials and to know the materials used to built this project.

From this project, I was able to know better the types of different constructions and materials. Not only that, I was able to understand the importance of correlating design concept to the use of materiality.
I really enjoyed doing this project because I can get new knowledge and new findings as I was researching it. Everything was done smoothly and I was pleased with the result.
project ii
Project II is a group work consisting of 4 architecture students and 4 interior architecture students. For this project, my group got timber as the main material which means we need to change an existing house's construction into a house that uses timber construction.

Through this project, I understand better the details of timber construction; from roof, stairs, walls, door, and window. Furthermore, I was able to draw orthographic drawings better and with more detail. This project was quite tiring and exhausting, because there were a lot to do, the drawings and model too. Due to our lack of time management, everything was done in a rush and everyone had to stay overnight for a few days. But, the result was still satisfactory.
